Wyeth Walks

Sweep – Wyeth Walk #244

These tree reflections on the ice captured my eye and I loved how the sweep of white snow bank made its statement.  To me this image is loosely reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth’s “Easter Sunday” – a painting of Anna Kuerner standing on her porch looking over a snow covered hill which sweeps across the canvas like my snow bank, with branches scratching the surface and a brown pot hanging from the ceiling- stamping the white sweep like the lone leaf in my creek.

My son’s snowshoes came today!  School delayed in the morning, hoping to go on a winter trek with him before school.
