Home Again Home Again, Jiggity Jig – Wyeth Walk #58

Lovely to be home after a nice vacation visiting family in Michigan. Lovely to be home in the warm spring air, to see the green popping up everywhere, to feel the warm breeze and see the birds all around (and, a face-to-face with our fox!).  Throughout NC Wyeth’s letters, especially in his early adulthood, he constantly pined for home of New England.  I’m sure he eventually came to think of Chadds Ford as home.  A sense of place and home was extremely important to him.  After 20 years in this region (longer than I lived in Virginia), I’m finally starting to think of it as home.
