Almanac – Wyeth Walk #237
This cold weather has been somewhat of a shock after the balmy December we have had. I have been shivering most of the day. I find comfort however in reading NC Wyeth’s letters from January 1912- just a few weeks after his Christmas letter saying Henriette was picking dandelions and they saw a butterfly, an icy wind brought in temperatures of seven below zero to Chadds Ford. So our 25 seems balmy compared to that. But, perhaps I should continue reading 1912 to get a feel for what the remainder of our 2016 winter might hold in store!
