Homecoming – Wyeth Walk #140
After an all-day of travel and several days with double duty chores and kiddos because hubby was out of town, I finally had a chance to walk in Chester County again for the first time after the immersive and transformative Maine coast. When I first started on my familiar stomping ground trail, it seemed a bit of a let-down after the pine needle floors and thick green moss of the Maine woods. But slowly but surely the experience started wrapping around me like a comfortable blanket. I was so happy to be back in MY woods. I didn’t think I would find a shot of the day as I was nearing the end of my stroll, but then these hearts and glowing tree magically appeared before me.
While I was gone, my piano technician overhauled my piano- regulating, revoicing, and giving tender love. My piano now sounds amazing. And has amazing control. But it is wildly different from the piano I left, and it will take me a while to get used to it. I’m really happy to be back to it though, and look forward to the re-acquainting.
