Perspective – Wyeth Walk #31
So incredibly hard to believe just yesterday was a thick snow storm that made for precarious, harrowing driving, and that kept us holed inside. Today, the air felt positively like spring, gloriously warm, and the 6 inches or so of snow melted away… now, in the summer this weather certainly would have felt downright bitter- all a matter of perspective…
speaking of which (perspective), this view of the hill reminded me of the Jamie Wyeth drawing of kids sledding, that he made when he was 5 years old- incredible sense of perspective for a kid that age- sledders at the bottom of the hill large, and those at the top in the distance small. Jamie Wyeth said in an interview at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts that he was serious about painting and drawing at age 5 and 6- that’s all he wanted to do.
Mud everywhere, little rivers of melting snow on the hillside, creek swollen, water in motion all around.
