Sea Creature – Wyeth Walk #63

Was practicing a bunch for upcoming concerts yesterday so forgot to get outside until the last minute, but I did run into the back yard while evening tea was brewing and found these beautiful spring flowers nestled in the grass, with beautiful rain drops clinging on the petals. I had fun turning this snapshot into a water creature of sorts, maybe something out of the Loch Ness Monster if NC Wyeth had illustrated that. Or maybe it’s not a scary creature… Just a pretty purple turtle. It reminds me a lot actually of some of my own music, how I like to be “out there” and avant-garde in my jazz covers but yet my lyrical pretty side is always present.
