Splatter, Squish – Wyeth Walk #14
light coating of snow splattered by current rain… splatter marks everywhere, water just sitting on top of the ground. every step a splatter, a squish. creek swollen and rushing. bird calls everywhere. I was told Ann Wyeth McCoy used to walk every day as well and love to listen to bird calls and the sound of feet crunching the snow, that these sounds came into her music through osmosis. I imagine this splushing today would have excited her as well as it does me.
squish, squish, splush, splatter… happy I have great boots to keep my feet dry!
