Still Life – Wyeth Walk #160
This blue glass reminded me of the NC Wyeth still life I saw in person recently. Extraordinary how he was able to portray the curved blue glass in paint and make it seem so real. When his son Andrew was young and training with him, he apparently made him (and all of his students) spend hours, days, months, working on still lifes of bottles and spheres and cones, honing their technique.
Crazy busy family weekend, and an even crazier today working on a big writing project. I’m a bit dazed. But, grateful I got some time in the woods midday for some breathing space.
