Writing on the Sky – Wyeth Walk #108

Was grateful for a morning walk in the rain before a chaotic day of a privileged life, which is made clear to me on days like today when Charleston is on our minds. A lot of art critics spoke unkindly of Andrew Wyeth and his privileged life of wealthy upbringing and multiple homes etc- how could he speak for the people without being in the trenches? His was an existence beyond my ken but I do feel that I have been given a gift of seeing beauty in the world that others overlook and have been given a gift to channel beauty in the moment through music and photos, and it seems to me about now that the world could use more beauty brought forth.
